We can provide monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping services that include these critical items:

Bank Statement Reconciliation
The importance of reconciling your company's bank accounts cannot be overstated. Reconciled bank statements ensure that your bank accounts are up-to-date and assist with:

  • Identifying lost checks, deposits, and erroneous transactions.
  • Detecting fraud, embezzlement, and unauthorized charges to your account.
  • Understanding exactly where you are at with cash balances.
  • Management of your cash flow and better decision making capability.
  • Peace of mind knowing that your cash is accounted for.
Balance Sheet Preparation
A Balance Sheet is sometimes referred to as a Statement of Position as it enables the user to see the financial position of a company at a particular point in time. It can be considered a "snap shot" of a business. In essence, a Balance Sheet shows a company's resources (Assets) and the claims against those resources (Liabilities and Equity). Among other things, a well prepared Balance Sheet allows the user to analyze key areas of a business, which include amounts owed to a company (Receivables), inventory levels, and amounts owed to others (Payables). Having visibility and an understanding of these and other items on the balance sheet are critical to business success and a properly prepared Balance Sheet is generally a requirement for any source of outside financing.

Income Statement Preparation
An Income Statement is also referred to as a Profit & Loss Statement. While the Balance Sheet can be considered a "snap shot" at a point in time, the Income Statement can be considered a "motion picture" covering a period of time; it reflects the business activities that occurred over a given period of time. Key items such as sales volumes generated, related costs of those sales, operating expenses, and profitability are reflected on an Income Statement. An Income Statement allows for visibility of the performance of the business over a period of time, indicates whether goals are being met or not, and provides a "springboard" for any corrective actions that may be necessary. Just like a Balance Sheet, a properly prepared Income Statement is critical to the success of a business and having a properly prepared Income Statement is generally a requirement for any source of outside financing.

Financial Statement Analysis
Having accurate financial information, reconciled accounts, and properly prepared financial statements are all key items in driving the success of a business. However, understanding what is being presented and the "story" that is being told by the numbers on the financial statements is critical. CLIMB Business Services provides financial analysis showing key areas of your company's performance, performance trends, and discussion points on  areas of concern. Our financial statement analysis is included with the preparation of financial statements.
